For more than 150 years, God has faithfully provided for First Baptist Church of Hart, allowing us to minister to hundreds of families. Through that same faithfulness, Oceana Christian School has served and shaped the lives of hundreds of students. We count this as both a joyful privilege and a serious responsibility.

Our mission as a church is simple and clear: making disciples of Jesus. In recent years, we’ve experienced significant growth and have sensed God’s leading to expand our facilities so we can better support that mission—especially as we disciple people of all ages on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

In May 2025, we officially launched the Growing Family Initiative, a building and ministry enhancement effort. This project represents an important first step in a longer-term vision to create safe, flexible, and effective ministry spaces that serve our church family now and prepare us for the future. Specifically, this initiative will provide:

•Increased safety and security for our offices and west entrance
•Expanded ministry space through a secure educational wing facing Tyler Road
•Improved storage and building flow, allowing our ministries to function more efficiently

These improvements will directly support our Sunday and midweek ministries by creating environments where children, students, and adults can gather, learn, and grow together more effectively.

Since launching the initiative, more than 20% of the total project cost has already been given. We have seen God work powerfully in the past, and we trust Him to continue guiding and providing as we take this next faithful step.
